We did too! So we researched (it was tough but someone had to do it) to find some great cafés that offer anytime and post training meals that not only fit our goals but that we loved also.
We hope it helps you! Arrange to meet friends there, stop temptation by knowing what you’re going to order in advance and keep kicking your goals on your health and fitness journey.
Elk Espresso: The Very Green Salad
Consisting of sautéed kale, silver beet, peas, asparagus, broccoli, roast pumpkin, beetroot lebnah, toasted hazelnuts & free-range poached eggs.
This dish is perfect for post training with the roast pumpkin or as an anytime meal by simply taking it off.
Borough Barista: Breakfast Salad
Complete with buckwheat, baby kale & beet leaves, spinach, avocado, fresh herbs, toasted nuts, avocado, lemon, hint of chilli & poached eggs.
A perfect anytime breakfast with all your nutritional needs of fibre, fats and protein.
Grocer & Grind: Grilled Lamb Cutlets
Poached eggs, grilled haloumi, sundried tomato, onion, rocket & shaved parmesan salad with apple vinaigrette.
This breakfast is a great anytime breakfast. There are also plenty of other clean options on this menu like the ‘Super Green Brekky Salad’, the ‘Grocer & Grind Veggie Stack’ and the ‘High Protein Paleo Salad.’
Commune: Green Brekky Bowl
Kale, Persian fetta, toasted almonds, snap peas, brussels, a poached egg, an avocado on top with a fresh lemon to squeeze over coated in chia seeds.
This breakfast is one of our favourites, ticks all the right boxes.
Barefoot Barista: Avocado Paleo
Paleo seed bread, paleo turmeric cashew cheese, farm fresh baby kale leaves, tomato, cucumber, pickled radish & furikake.
This breakfast would be the perfect post workout meal if eggs or salmon were added and a side of kimchi!
The Yard Café Menu: Shakshuka with eggs
Shakshuka with eggs, chorizo, feta & baby rocket.
A beautiful anytime dish on a colder morning, full of flavour and spice from the fresh tomato, chilli and herb base sauce.
BSKT: Raw Pad Thai
Zucchini noodles, bean sprouts, carrots, edamame, shallots, cashews and a Nam Jim dressing with the options of adding free range chicken breast or prawns.
Perfect anytime meal and this café has many other clean eating options also.
Greenhouse Canteen & Bar: Greenhouse Salad
Finely chopped kale, celery, shallots and broccoli sprinkled with lemon zest pepita + pumpkin seeds served with local avocado + roasted sweet potato steak.
For a light change on the digestive track try a vegetarian meal, as an anytime meal. They also have a beautiful “Crunchy Green Salad” too.
This place has to be my favourite menu offering lots off extras to add to your meal.
Check out this brekky! Add bacon and eggs as you please. They also do a great post training quinoa breakfast option too.
Bambam Bakehouse: Crunchy Chicken Salad
This salad is a great anytime grilled chicken salad, it is beautiful in colour and contains beautiful fresh flavours.
Filled with some tasty salads and an avocado on top, this is a lovely vegetarian dish. Add some eggs on the side if you wanted some extra protein.
Don’t feel like cooking but want to eat at home… many of these places are also available on Uber Eats! How good is that?!!
If your smashing goals at the gym you can always ask for sauce on the side and drop the toast for more veggies.
